上周刷推，看到特朗普转发了ABC News Politics的一条推文：

很好奇作为美国总统，他会如何回应中国对NBA施压的问题。点开视频，发现特朗普像之前被记者问到对于香港问题的看法时那样，那次大统领表示：
“那是他们自己国家内政的问题, 老子不想蹚这趟浑水。" (that’s between HongKong, that’s between China, because HK is part of China, they will have to deal with themselves , they don’t need advice.)

这一次大统领不但没跳坑，还悄悄地“公报私仇”，把几位不支持他的NBA教练一一点名狠狠批了一顿：金州勇士队的主教练史蒂夫·科尔，和圣安东尼奥马刺队的主教练格里格·波波维奇。
特朗普在视频里大喷科尔就像“一个吓坏了的小男孩”，吓得不敢回答问题。
以下来自特朗普采访：
特朗普：“Well, the NBA is a different thing, I watched the guy Steve Kerr, he was like a little boy, he was so scared to even answer a question, he was shaking, Oh...oh...oh, he couldn’t answer the question, and he will talk about the United States very badly.
I watched Popovich,  sort of the same thing, but he didn’t look quite as scared actually. 
But they talked badly about the United States, but when they talk about China, they don’t want to say anything bad, I thought it was really sad, actually.”
记者：“ Are you ok then when Chinese government pressured in NBA over Hongkong?”
特朗普：“they have to work out their own situation. NBA is, they don’t know what they are doing. 
But, I watched the way that like Kerr, Popovich and some of others are pandering to China, and yet to our own country, they don’t, it’s like they don’t respect it, it’s like they don’t respect it. 
I said what a difference is that it said to me, it’s very sad. ”
两次涉及香港问题的回复，特朗普都表示这是中国自己的问题：“They have to work out their own situation…” 
但为什么特朗普会拒绝为NBA辩护，
并且大喷NBA这两位人物呢？
据了解，科尔和波波维奇此前经常批评特朗普的政策，尤其是科尔在政治问题上的态度一向鲜明——在美国发生多次大规模枪击事件后，科尔敦促立法者通过更严厉的枪支法。
波波维奇还曾指出特朗普“为了自己的目的而展示出人类的阴暗面”，是“没有灵魂的懦夫”。

10月11日，科尔针对于大统领的批评回复也是掷地有声，他表示针对事件，他从双方角度都做了很多调查和了解。他学到了：同一件事，从不同的角度看会有不同的优势观点。
于他而言，对一件影响不同人、不同国家与不同政府的事发表意见太难了，置身于（这方面的提问）中也会让他感到不舒服。倒不如保持低调，当一个“吓坏了的小男孩”。
比起谈论中国内政，他更乐意谈论自己了解的，且与自己祖国息息相关的事情。科尔的父亲死于枪击，他一直呼吁禁枪，希望其他人民不要经历他和他的家人经历的痛苦。
他表示在美国拥有言论自由非常幸运，自己也经常使用这一权利；但言论自由也意味着当你不想说的时候，你有权保持沉默。

"Not all of us are perfect, and we all have different issues we have to get to, and saying that is my right as an American doesn’t mean that I hate my country. 
People in china didn’t ask me about you owning AR-15 and mowing each other down in a mall, I wasn’t asked that question. 
So we can play this game like all we want, go over all the map, and there Is this such issue and that issue, the world is a complex place, there is more grey than black and white， I realized that what popular this days is to make it black and white and you’re either good or you are evil.
 And that’s convenient to do things that way, but not realistic."
翻译：
“不是每个人都是完美的，我们都有不同的事情需要我们去忙活，我谈论自己的国家是我的权利，但不代表我讨厌自己的国家。中国人从来不会问我“为什么美国人会拿着AR-15S在商场里扫射”，这个世界是复杂的，比起非黑即白，更多的是灰色地带。我知道现在很流行非黑即白，你要么是好人，要么是恶魔，这样很省事，但并不现实。”
看完科尔的回复，网友们都给出了非常正面的评价：“科尔的父亲就是死于枪击，他一直在呼吁禁枪；但这个事情在美国始终模棱两可，所以科尔对于言论自由跟政治正确肯定有更深的理解”，“科尔的言论真的很fair”。
言论自由，既是在不想说话的时候保持沉默，也是在不明真相之时，不凭一己之见信口开河。对于我们并不了解的事情，要是感兴趣，便从多方面了解；若不感兴趣，也不胡乱发表偏激的观点——这也是人智慧的一种表现呢。
