01Peppa, why don't you and Suzy go and play in your bedroom?
Why don't you give her some flowers?
Why not give her some flowers?
02Peppa and Suzy love playing in Peppa's bedroom.
So does George.
I've lost contact with them.——So have I.
I was tired, and so were the others.
I have a headache.——So have I.
在没有助动词的句子后面,用do/does/did:
He just wants the best for his country.——So did Hitler.
注意:只会说'So have I',不会说'So have I lost contact with them'。
03Peppa and Suzy want to play on their own.
讲解:on one's own有两重意思:
My mother lives on her own.(我妈独自居住。)
Don't help him. Let him do it on his own.(让他独立完成)
04You'll have to play somewhere else.
Sorry, I've got to leave now.
I've got a new boyfriend.(更常用,更自然)
I have a new boyfriend.
I usually have to be at work at eight. (NOT I've usually got to...)
Have you got some money? (NOT Do you have got...)
The house hasn't got a garden. (NOT The house doesn't have got...)
05
George likes helping Mummy make cookies.
Thank you so much for helping us (to) repair the car.
Would you like to help pack (打包)?
06 Suzzy takes George's temperature.
07
Just for a little while. He might get tired.
We may go climbing next summer.
Where is she?——She might be out running.
may well, might well和could well表示更强的可能 性:
You may well be right.
might 和 could 不只是 may 和 can 的过去形式,更多时候用来
I may go to Hangzhou tomorrow.
I might go to Hangzhou tomorrow.
I may well go to Hangzhou tomorrow.
